About
We are a small veteran owned hobby breeder located in Corpus Christi, TX. We believe firmly in breeding only to better the breed. All of our parents are thoroughly health tested and titled. Bloodlines are studied carefully before planning a breeding. We always strive to better the breed with each carefully planned litter. All of our puppies are raised in our home, loved by our three children daily, and raised with the Puppy Culture program. They are socialized extensively before going to their new homes, and we start the crate training and potty training process at our home. We start Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction at 3 days old. All of our puppies are also regularly exposed to a variety of loud noises (gunshots, fireworks, shattering glass, vacuum cleaners, etc.) at a very early age to desensitize them to loud noises. All puppies go home with a vet check, age appropriate deworming, vaccines, and microchipped. We only sell our puppies on a spay/neuter contract with limited registration.
In 2020 before we had ever owned labradors, our beloved pug, Zoe, suddenly passed away. We were heart-broken, and so was our other pug, Pippa. Our family had always loved the Labrador breed, but had never been able to own one when we were stationed in California, due to weight restrictions. After Zoe passed, we were finally in a position to own our dream dog. We searched high and low for a breeder who took health testing seriously and felt it was important to title dogs before breeding them.
We had prayed and prayed, and finally, a litter of Labrador puppies had became available in Virginia Beach, Virginia (where we were stationed at the time), so we decided to visit the puppies. We fell in love with a gorgeous yellow female (Dixie), and we decided to purchase her. Dixie became our family's pride and joy, and we knew God had answered our prayers.
When Dixie was eight weeks old, we took her home. Dixie then grew into an impressive young lady, who we consider to be one of our children. We started obedience training very quickly a phenomenal trainer who also helped us with conformation training. Dixie very quickly earned her UKC CH title. Judges loved her larger than life personality in the ring. Shortly after Dixie turned one, we were puppy sitting a chocolate litter of Labrador retriever puppies for our breeder in Virginia Beach. That's when we met our soon to be dog, Reese! We were not planning to get another dog so soon, but we couldn't resist. When Reese turned eight weeks old, we took her home.
Dixie instantly started mothering Reese, and the two became best of friends. We are so grateful that God had gifted us with this incredible opportunity to better the Labrador breed, and to own the best dogs in the whole world. We have been so blessed to be surrounded by some of the most respected Judges and Breeders in America, and we've learned so much from them.
We regularly attend various dog shows with the IABCA, UKC, and most recently the AKC. We have recently started attending working certificate clinics to get our girls acclimated to the world of hunting ducks. We have also delved into the world of Obedience with earning Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog titles with our newest addition, Reveille.
We are active members of the Heart of Texas Labrador retriever Club, the Corpus Christi Kennel Club, and the Heart of Texas Dog Owner's Group.
